Nestled around the corner from the busy South Ken Station and even with road works right outside the door, Tombo is an oasis of calm as soon as you walk through the door.
We must have walked in just at a good time when it was quiet and we got a table and service was quick, by the time we had finished and decided we 'needed' cake there was a long queue of people who looked like they have made this their regular lunch time treat.
Louise had noodles and I had a bento box (best of everything) we also had miso soup and edamame beans. Everything was yummy and there was a lady hand rolling maki rolls at the counter which was a great sign that the food was fresh. We then had a green tea and strawberry cake and an amazing apple cake.
